Former big four partners and directors of Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC now make up more than half of the managing directors at advisory firms FTI Consulting and Alvarez & Marsal, with revenue growing at both firms despite the challenged consulting market.

At FTI Consulting, which has been operating in Australia for more than 15 years, more than half of its 50-odd senior managing directors are former big four partners.
