Spotlight on consultants after big four billing rates leaked

Consulting firms accidentally given highly confidential details about their competitors’ billing rates will be monitored with “spot checks” for a year to ensure they do not misuse the information to win future government contracts.

The Finance Department will also fast-track the annual update to standing offers from its panel of 400-plus management advisers in a bid to make the leaked information out-of-date.
