PwC cuts show young have no shame about redundancy

The social media generation is not ashamed of being made redundant, with dozens of the 250 staff cut from PwC last month immediately taking to business networking site LinkedIn to broadcast their departure, praise the firm and inform potential employers they are #OpenToWork.

The candour represents a generational shift in dealing with being cut from a job but also highlights that the pandemic downturn has "destigmatised being made redundant", according to one recruitment expert.
