Hong Kong remains an attractive and reliable jurisdiction for commercial law firms and their clients, new King & Wood Mallesons partner Gilles Cardonnel says.

The French-qualified projects lawyer, who worked in the city for more than a decade before joining KWM in 2021, said clients still saw Hong Kong “as a safe place to do business” because it had a common law legal system and was close to China.
