Capping big four partnerships would ’cause great disruption’
Forcing the big four consulting firms to cap partnerships at 400 would be an extraordinary market intervention by the government and cause great disruption to the industry, say two conservative members of the committee that recommended the reform.
The idea of partnership caps was also heavily criticised by senior industry figures who argued it would disrupt firm operations. Views were mixed about whether it would lead to an exodus of staff.
