Accountants’ salaries jump 11pc, gender pay gap drops
Chartered accountants’ salaries rose 11 per cent this year to hit a median of $150,000 for full-time number crunchers, even as employers across the professional services industry warned they were tightening their belts in the economic downturn.
People hired in commercial roles such as those in company finance teams earned the most, with the Chartered Accountants ANZ annual salary survey revealing a median pay package of $180,553.
