Western Australia’s peak resources lobby group has appointed a former healthcare and banking executive as its next chief executive, again shunning prior industry experience.

The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia on Wednesday named Rebecca Tomkinson as its next CEO, replacing Paul Everingham and becoming the organisation’s first female leader in its 122-year history.
