Bowen Coking Coal says the Indonesian contracting giant working at its sprawling Burton mine in Queensland is demanding the payment of more than $15 million, putting the company’s future in doubt.
The ASX-listed metallurgical coal miner said the demands from BUMA had led to reconsider whether to continue to negotiate with lenders and Queensland officials for a deal to guarantee operations.
