Shares in mineral explorer Trilogy Metals have more than doubled in a day as investors bet Donald Trump’s election win would clear the way for Trilogy and Australian partner South32 to develop a critical minerals project in Alaska.

South32 and Trilogy are 50-50 partners in the Ambler exploration joint venture, which has made an exciting copper, zinc, gold and silver discovery in a remote part of Alaska.
