Former Rio Tinto chief executive Sam Walsh will rebuff a request to appear before a powerful parliamentary inquiry into the mining giant’s destruction of ancient rock shelters.
Mr Walsh said he felt strongly that the inquiry, chaired by Liberal senator Warren Entsch, needed to bore down into the events of 2020 and not his time in charge at Rio.
