Rio, Fortescue chief executives to exit in global mining sector shock

Two of the world’s largest iron ore miners are replacing key executives, with Rio Tinto’s Jakob Stausholm announcing he was resigning an hour before Fortescue said its energy chief Mark Hutchinson would step down.

Stausholm will exit Rio, the country’s second-largest miner, within months after almost five years at the helm.
