A senior health official at a mine at the centre of an alleged poisoning lawsuit believed the facility had been a large source of community lead exposure, a court has heard.
But the chief industrial hygienist of Mount Isa Mines (MIM) told the court he did not think any dangerous epidemic was billowing from the mine by the mid-1990s, with emissions low by then. He had even raised two children in the Queensland town.
