Evolution Mining founder Jake Klein has committed to staying on in his executive chairman role for at least another two years after the gold miner moved to appoint its first ever chief executive.

The promotion of chief financial officer Lawrie Conway to the role of chief executive and managing director follows Evolution’s admission that it let shareholders down by failing to live up to operational expectations in 2021-22.
