Galaxy flies solo in Argentina as lithium price doubles

Galaxy Resources is increasingly unlikely to sell a stake in its Argentinian lithium project as surging prices for the battery mineral bolster confidence the company can fund the first stage of construction without external help.

Prices for the type of lithium Galaxy plans to make in Argentina have almost doubled over the past nine months and the company is now full steam ahead on a $US153 million plan to build the first stage of its Sal de Vida project in Argentina’s high desert.
