Fortescue shoulders hefty costs after settling Element Zero case

Billionaire Andrew Forrest’s Fortescue has settled its bitter legal stoush with a group of its former executives, whom the mining giant spied on after accusing them of stealing sensitive information for their green iron start-up.

The dispute between Fortescue and Element Zero – and the latter’s founders and employees Michael Masterman, Bart Kolodziejczyk and Bjorn Winther-Jensen – was resolved in court on Wednesday, with each side agreeing to pay their own legal costs.
