Forrests strike gold in Greatland as miner soars on ASX debut

A gold miner backed by billionaires Andrew and Nicola Forrest blasted higher on its ASX debut, as investors jumped at the chance to buy into a top-five producer in Australia of the precious metal in hot demand.

Greatland Resources rose as much as 12 per cent to $7.40 after raising $490 million in an initial public offering priced at $6.60.
