A cynic might say there was no big change at Fortescue on Wednesday, given that Andrew Forrest had effectively been executive chairman all along.

That’s probably unfair to Nev Power and Elizabeth Gaines, who delivered impressive results during their stints as the second and third chief executives of Australia’s third-biggest iron ore exporter.
