Coal mine stoush twist as lawsuit alleges misappropriation

The managing director of New Wilkie Energy Group has been accused of misappropriating company assets in dealings with a contractor on the newly restarted Wilkie Creek coal mine.

But Gary Williams, who was ousted from running the mine in November, and the contractor have rejected the allegations, which were raised in a legal dispute over bills, as “nonsense” and containing incorrect assertions.
