BlueScope says ACCC has been preparing cartel case for years

BlueScope Steel's legal team has asked for more time to prepare their defence to allegations the manufacturer engaged in cartel conduct, arguing the consumer regulator has been preparing its case for years.

BlueScope's barrister Cameron Moore, SC, said the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission had been investigating his client for many years before announcing it was suing BlueScope in August.
