BHP puts former NAB boss Ross McEwan into chairman race

Former National Australia Bank chief executive Ross McEwan has emerged as a contender for the chairmanship of BHP, with the miner appointing him to its board.
Mr McEwan called time on a four-year term as chief executive of NAB on February 7 and hinted in his farewell that he would consider board positions in future.
