AusSuper’s graphite bet Syrah to restart mine, easing US loan concerns

AustralianSuper’s struggling graphite bet Syrah Resources will resume mining for the first time in nine months, boosting its chances of convincing the US government to extend crucial loans.

The miner is still in crisis talks with US government agencies after civil unrest near its Balama mine in Mozambique halted production and triggered default clauses on crucial US government loans.
