It sounds hard to believe but underground mining contractor Barminco says it has been struggling to find skilled mining truck drivers.
Barminco chief executive Peter Stokes said the Perth-based company had about 150 job vacancies, mostly for underground truck drivers, across the country but was struggling to find applicants with the necessary skills despite the mining industry emerging from a downturn that claimed thousands of jobs.
