Fiona Hick left relatively early from Fortescue’s spectacular 20th birthday party in the rich red dirt of the Pilbara on Saturday night. Almost no one realised she would be leaving dramatically early from her role as Fortescue Metals CEO – less than six months after she arrived.
Andrew Forrest certainly gave no indication of the shock exit of yet another senior executive as he arrived, music blaring, flag waving, on top of a giant iron ore truck.
