Billionaires Katie Page, Chris Ellison and Gina Rinehart are the key backers of Kerry Stokes’ new daily online newspaper, The Nightly, which launches on Monday after months of poaching staff, developed with Google behind the scenes.
Claiming it will be a free, daily, “mainstream middle” newspaper that is published online at 6pm, Seven West Media’s The Nightly will aim to lure large audiences.
