Incoming ABC chairman Kim William spoke a lot this week about the public broadcaster where he shall soon sit at the head of the boardroom table. It’s a bit “bland”. It should listen to its staff more. It is “well behoved” not to bathe in self-congratulation.
The thing about being a vocal and sesquipedalian figure in a small pond like the Australian media is that there is a plethora, a surfeit, a profusion, of his thoughts about the ABC already on the record. He clearly loves the place. But he hasn’t been muted in his criticism.
