Network Ten has pulled the pin on negotiations for a potential return for V8 Supercars, leaving Seven West Media in the box seat to be the free-to-air broadcaster of motorsport from next year.

In May, The Australian Financial Review revealed that Ten was preparing to walk away from Supercars as it was a loss-making endeavour for the network.
