Leading streaming entertainment services have invested almost $270 million in Australian content in fiscal year 2020, according to the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s inaugural SVOD Australian content investment report.
The SVOD (subscription video on demand) report, released on Friday, is part of a voluntary reporting system by the major players, including Netflix, Nine’s Stan, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video.
