Sea World gets a rush as Village reopens theme parks
Queenslanders have flocked to the reopening of Sea World on the Gold Coast after Village Roadshow was forced to close its theme parks in March amid the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Village Roadshow chief operating officer of theme parks Bikash Randhawa told The Australian Financial Review that more than 4000 people turned up to Sea World on Friday, another 5000 came on Saturday and the Sea World Resort, the second-largest resort on the Gold Coast, was at full occupancy.
