NRL CEO Todd Greenberg steps down

The NRL is looking for a new chief executive after Todd Greenberg stood down amid scrutiny of his relationship with ARL Commission chairman Peter V'landys and the code's clubs, and after being frozen out of key talks with rugby league's broadcast partners.

Mr Greenberg's departure was "mutually agreed" on Monday after intense speculation about his future at the top of the sport. He held the role for four years after replacing Dave Smith, who quit in 2015.
