Nine says it's 'premature' to lock in NRL for May 28
Nine believes it is too early to lock in a May 28 return for rugby league, however, ARLC chairman Peter V'landys hopes the code is days away from reaching an agreement with its free-to-air broadcaster and Foxtel for a revised 2020 NRL season.
Nine's comments come a day after ARLC Commission Wayne Pearce, who is heading the NRL's Project Apollo, which is aiming to get the league up and running again amid the COVID-19 pandemic, said the season would definitely start on May 28.
