News Corp Australia is restructuring its business journalism coverage and is setting up a new centralised national business desk to be headed by The Australian.
News Corp staff were expected to be briefed on Friday. An internal memo, seen by The Australian Financial Review, said the new business desk would be led by The Australian's business editor, Eric Johnston, a former business editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.
