New Seven expenses scandal as Spotlight boss enlists lawyer
The executive producer of the Seven Network’s flagship Spotlight current affairs program has engaged lawyers amid expectations among the broadcaster’s senior staff that he will leave the business.
Mark Llewellyn, the veteran producer who has overseen Spotlight since it began in 2020, has tapped John Laxon, of Laxon Lex Lawyers, as he negotiates the fallout of a scandal over how the program secured a major interview with former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann.
