A star-powered line-up of films has propelled Netflix to the top of the Academy Awards nominations lists, with the streaming giant scoring more nods for its movies than any other Hollywood studio.

The California-based streaming giant received 24 nominations for a range of movies on Monday (Tuesday AEDT), with Martin Scorsese's The Irishman collecting 10, Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story earning six, and The Two Popes bringing in three.
