Foxtel and ABC end stand-off, expand agreements
Foxtel and the ABC have come to a surprise agreement to continue to show the public broadcaster's channels on the pay television service and integrate the ABC iview streaming service with Foxtel's set-top boxes.
The ABC was said to have been looking to end its $4 million a year deal with Foxtel, which allowed ABC channels and content on to the pay TV platform. ABC managing director David Anderson was going to stop the arrangement as part of the broadcaster's search for cost savings.
