Singleton’s surprising return to radio started in his Gosford pub

John Singleton met Sarah Warry at the back of the Railway Hotel, the pub he owns on Gosford’s main drag. Warry was looking for sponsors for CoastFM, the Central Coast community radio station. “Do we sponsor you?” Singleton asked. “No, you don’t,” she responded. She gave him her card, and he was in.

Four years after selling his stake in a string of major radio stations to Nine Entertainment for $80 million, John Singleton is back on air – in a way.
