Alan Jones’ right-wing TV station asks ex-Seven News boss to be CEO

Sam Buckingham-Jones

Alan Jones’ online broadcaster has asked former Seven news director Jason Morrison to be its new chief executive, even as questions remain about whether the former 2GB Radio stalwart will return to the airwaves after allegations of inappropriate behaviour over many decades.

Media sources with knowledge of discussions at Australian Digital Holdings TV said Mr Morrison could not take up the position until an ongoing contract with Seven expired, believed to be next month. He left in June after eight years as director of 7News Sydney. Mr Morrison declined to comment.
