Freedom Foods loses appeal; will face US arbitration

A Freedom Foods Group key almond drink supplier will move ahead with arbitration in the United States after the manufacturer’s attempt to block the action failed in the Federal Court of Australia.

In a unanimous three-to-zero decision, the Federal Court upheld the trial court’s March 5 rejection of claims alleged by the UHT milk and plant-based drinks manufacture against Blue Diamond Growers, a grower-owned cooperative representing more than 3000 of California’s almond producers.
