A top adviser to the South Australian government phoned KordaMentha’s Mark Mentha two days before Christmas last year to discuss the possibility of the Whyalla steelworks being put into administration.
Documents detailing meetings and phone calls over the past two months lodged by administrators KordaMentha on Monday outlined that Bruce Carter, the chairman of the SA government’s Steel Task Force, telephoned Mentha on December 23.
