Sky-high airfares unsustainable: Melbourne Airport boss

Qantas “can’t afford to have a bad Christmas” hounded by similar reliability issues to those that curtailed the initial post-pandemic travel restart, says Melbourne Airport chief executive Lorie Argus.
Ms Argus also warned The Australian Financial Review Infrastructure Summit that sky-high airfares were unsustainable if the sector were to truly recover from COVID-19.
