One-way trans-Tasman bubble flops before wheels up

More than 350 passengers aboard three commercial flights from New Zealand will touch down in Sydney on Friday under the new one-way trans-Tasman bubble, but Qantas has already slashed the number of flights it will put on the route.

This week, Qantas had announced that it would have six Sydney-Auckland return flights a week, plus four Sydney-Christchurch-Sydney flights under the new arrangement, which allows New Zealanders to visit NSW and the Northern Territory as long as they go into quarantine on their return home.
