The former boss of Australia’s biggest waste management company, Cleanaway, has been appointed as chief executive of Sanjeev Gupta’s best-performing business in Australia, structural steel group InfraBuild, which is on course to more than double profits in 2020-21.
Vik Bansal resigned from Cleanaway in January in a “mutually agreed” decision with the board following a string of allegations about a “culture of bullying and harassment” under his leadership. He had been chief executive since 2015.
