The unusual boardroom dynamics at Australia’s biggest cement group, Adbri, are in the spotlight again after the company joined forces with its major shareholder, Barro Group, to jointly acquire Victorian sand quarry business Metro Quarry Group.

Family-owned Barro Group owns 43 per cent of the ASX-listed Adbri, which is chaired by Barro boss Raymond Barro.
