After Paul Perreault grew CSL revenue by $US5 billion and profit by $US1 billion, the pressure is on new CEO Paul McKenzie to keep up the growth.

When Nicholas Barlas was in primary school, he asked his dad, George, to speak to his class about what plasma was and how CSL used it to manufacture its products.

Despite his understanding of his dad’s job at the time being limited to “scientist”, he was fascinated by his work and how this company turned what looked like liquid gold into therapies for people whose immune systems were not functioning properly.
