Surging COVID-19 testing boosts Healius’ first-quarter sales

Pathology player Healius has posted a stellar start to the year with a 44 per cent jump in group revenue driven by COVID-19 testing and stronger than expected routine testing.

Chief executive Dr Malcolm Parmenter told shareholders at the company’s annual meeting that despite the various lockdowns, revenue climbed to $689.9 million in the September quarter from $480.2 million a year ago.
