Ramsay waters down speculation on French asset sale

Ramsay Health Care boss Craig McNally has watered-down market speculation about the company hiving off its French hospital assets, saying the idea is being perpetuated by investment bankers seeking a deal and Ramsay is not actively considering a sale.

The chief executive told investors the company was mulling options to sell some of its valuable Australian hospitals, but this was under consideration before takeover talks with suitor KKR & Co ramped up and then fell over in late September.
