Vitamins group Swisse experienced a strong 15.5 per cent jump in sales in the September quarter as people tried to bolster their immune systems amid rising levels of colds, flu and respiratory illnesses.

The Australian chief executive of the Swisse business, Nick Mann, said a joint marketing campaign with retailer Chemist Warehouse featuring Sydney Swans footballer Lance Franklin and his wife Jesinta had also been crucial in driving the robust consumer performance of the brand.
