Australia’s biggest diagnostic imaging company, private equity-owned I-MED, is making its first foray into North America, acquiring United States imaging business StatRad to bulk up its fast-growing teleradiology division.

Chief executive Shrey Viranna said the company had been searching for opportunities to enter American teleradiology because it had significant parallels to the domestic market.
