How CSL became Australia’s third-largest company
Under Paul Perreault, CSL became one of the biggest companies in the country, but even in 2010 its Melbourne offices still looked like something out of the 1960s.
Tucked away in the leafy inner-Melbourne suburb of Parkville, CSL’s two-storey brick Poplar Road headquarters is remarkably unremarkable for the country’s third-largest listed company.
Its brick buildings blend seamlessly with the surrounding premises belonging to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, mental health organisation Orygen, and even a sprawling youth justice centre.
