Law firm Slater and Gordon is drumming up interest for a potential class action against medical gloves and surgical suits maker Ansell over a hefty profit downgrade in January which sent the share price tumbling.

Slater and Gordon is testing the waters with Ansell shareholders over the profit downgrade of 28 per cent on January 31 which stripped $600 million in sharemarket value from the group after demand for single-use medical gloves started to wane and margins were crunched.
