Golden glove days over for Ansell as pandemic fades

The chief executive of medical glove and surgical suits maker Ansell says no-one could have forecast the speed of a sharp downturn in demand and prices for personal protective equipment as countries return to partial normality in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Neil Salmon said governments, health authorities and hospitals had built up extra inventory at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic after buying extra stock, but that had unwound faster than predicted.
